What is Castle Christmas?
Castle Christmas is the OFFICIAL West of Ireland real life home of Santa and Mrs. Clause. You’ll be greeted at the entrance into a magical world of fun, sparkles and all things Christmas! From the very moment you set foot on Castle Christmas ground, you leave the normal world behind and get rare and special access to Santa’s carefully-chosen chosen Irish home
What activities take place at Castle Christmas?
Explore the different areas of the castle at will to discover the delights and surprises which await you ‘round every corner. You can sing your favourite Christmas songs at the very tippy top of your voice in Elf-e- oke (Karaoke – elf-style!), make a wish on a special star and place it into a rocket which will be blasted into space on Christmas Eve (watch for your star in the sky), join in the indoor snowball fight (if you dare), learn how to Hula Hoop, take part in a treasure hunt or help Mrs. Claus tell her all-time favourite festival stories (gathered over centuries).
Where does Castle Christmas take place?
Castle Christmas takes place at the Christmas-iest castle in all of Ireland, the stunningly beautiful historical landmark Claregalway Castle. It is located just 20 minutes outside the city centre on the N17. Chosen by Santa himself (with approval from Mrs. Claus of course) from hundreds of castles all over Europe!
What does a child Castle Christmas ticket do? (VIC)
A VIC (Very Important Child) ticket allows one very special child to enter Castle Christmas and explore ALL activities at the castle. One in person, confidential meeting with Santa Claus himself and a special gift. PLEASE NOTE: Very Important Child tickets are open to NICE LIST children only.
What does an adult Castle Christmas ticket entitle me to?
An adult ticket entitles you access to all facilities at the castle. However, as it’s getting so close to Christmas, Santy can only see the little boys and girls for confidential in-person sit-down meetings.
Is Castle Christmas indoor or outdoor?
Castle Christmas takes place both indoors and outdoors, it has its own weather system so weather forecasts can be unpredictable, wrap up warm!
Is there a schedule available?
There is no schedule at Castle Christmas. Listen for cheery cheers, chimes and bells announcing special, unmissable events and fun happenings! An average trip around the castle will take an estimated one hour (in approximate adult time).
Will there be food available?
There will be food available to purchase on site for hungry boys and girls including warming tea, coffee, hot chocolate (and scrumptious) cakes for Mom, Dad, Aunties, Uncles, Grans, Grandads and teachers.

Yes. Castle Christmas is wheelchair accessible.
Do I need to purchase a ticket for a baby?
Nope. All babes in arms go free. (Note: The elves are trained and will notice if you are trying to carry a ten year old)
What age boys & girls have the most fun?
Although we try to cater for all age groups, boys and girls under 9 years of age tend to have the most magical time. We also have a special sensory morning happening on Saturday 9th of December from 10am to 1pm for young children, as well as a sensory day on Monday 18th December.
Is there parking available?
There is free parking for all on Claregalway Castle grounds.
I can't attend Castle Christmas anymore. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately not. We have a strict no refunds policy, which you can find in our terms and conditions.
